Delia POPA is is the co-founder and leader of ArtCrowd – Artists in Education since 2013. She is an artist, education designer, and art educator. Delia received a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and both a Master in Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from The National University of Arts Bucharest.

 

She also expanded her research into the field of Arts Management and obtained a Doctor in Philosophy in Arts Management from Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, Romania.

As an organizational leader Delia finds connections between the needs of society and ArtCrowd's service design.

As a teacher she works for her students to become more perceptive, think more critically and see multiple solutions to any given problem.

She has been an artist in residence at Q21/MuseumsQuartier, Vienna, Austria (2018), index Freiraum, Zurich, Switzerland (2015) and Bains Connective, Brussels, Belgium (2012) and her work as an artist has been shown in many national and international group exhibitions.

Vanda Maria STURDZA is the co-founder of ArtCrowd and a set designer and theater educator. She graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria in 2006 and has collaborated with numerous theaters since then. Some very successful set design collaborations include "Paganini" by Mick Davis at the Metropolis Theater and "If We Thought Out Loud" by Adnan Lugonic at The National Romanian Theater, both in Bucharest, Romania.

 

She was the co-founder of "Theater in Arbeit", a theater- pedagogical organization, that worked with schools and museums in Austria for more than 5 years from 2006 to 2011.

 

Vanda was one of the artists involved in the "Artists in Education" international project initiated in 2011 by the UK based NGO "Creativity, Culture, Education" (CCE). Together with Delia she has been awarded The European Language Label for "The Odyssey Reloaded" by the European Commission in 2014.

In 2020 Vanda created the exhibition design and the concept of the exhibition “Back to the Future- Romanian Design a ta Crossroads”.

Daniela Palimariu

Visual Identity and Graphic Design Collaborator

Daniela PALIMARIU is a visual artist and graphic designer, and started her collaboration with ArtCrowd in 2014 as an art pedagogue, and then started creating graphic design for our publications, often in collaboration with visual artist and graphic designer Dan Basu. She graduated from the University of Arts in Iasi, in the photography and video department, and the Falmouth College of Art in Great Britain in 2010.

 

She was invited to participate in numerous exhibitions and art residencies in the country and abroad. (more information here) She coordinated art workshops in schools and alternative spaces and in 2016 she co-founded the Sandwich Gallery contemporary art space. Together with Dan Basu, Daniela created the visual identity of the project “Back to the Future- Romanian Design at a Crossroads” in 2020, as well as the graphic design of the publication of the same name, UNARTE Publishing House, 2021.

ArtCrowd Collaborator Andreea Dinca

Andreea Dinca

Museum Education Collaborator

Andreea DINCA is an ArtCrowd Museum Education collaborator and an architect. She graduated from the "Ion Mincu" Architecture and Urbanism University in Bucharest in 2019.

 

In 2016-2018 she was a volunteer-architect in De-a Arhitectura Association's school programs, at the Central School in Bucharest. in 2017-2018 she worked with ARCEN Association for preserving Bucharest's architectural heritage.

She works with ArtCrowd since 2018.

ArtCrowd Collaborator Marta Curteanu

Marta Curteanu

Museum Education Collaborator

Marta CURTEANU is an ArtCrowd Museum Education collaborator and a performer/actress. 

 

She has graduated from Hyperion University in Bucharest, in the Acting Department, in 2010 and from "Regina Maria" Art College, Painting Department, in Constanta, Romania, in 2006.

​

She has coordinated workshops for self-development through theater, and art in schools, kindergartens and alternative spaces and collaborated with several cultural NGO-s. She is an ArtCrowd collaborator since 2018.
